Nicole graduated from Notre Dame Prep in 2022. She currently attends The University of Maryland where she is a member of the Phi Delta Epsilon, a pre-med society.
“Throughout this year, Lea’s scholarship has given me motivation when I find myself struggling and wanting to give up. She reminds me what exactly I am working for, and how important it is that I reach my goal. Above all, I aim to care for others and make them feel loved as Lea would, and her scholarship reminds me how important it is that I do not give up so that I can make this a reality. It reminds me that, even when I may not believe in myself, other people believe in me, and that gives me the confidence and courage that I need when I begin to doubt myself. I wish to live like Lea did and want to be a beacon of love and light just as she is. I truly admire her dedication to improving chronically ill patients’ lives and cannot wait to enter the field of medicine to do the same.”
