The 2026 Women in Science Scholarship is Margaret (Maggie) Mullen! ✨
This fall, Maggie will begin her studies at the University of Delaware, pursuing a career in nursing with a passion for caring for children and supporting families through life’s most difficult moments.
Inspired by her own experiences and the unwavering support of her family, Maggie shared that she wants to be the kind of nurse who leads with compassion, empathy, and kindness. She understands that bad things can happen to good people, and believes everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and care.
Her words reminded us so much of Lea and the legacy she left behind. Like Lea, Maggie hopes to make a difference not only through her knowledge, but through the way she makes others feel when they need support most.
